Wikileaks Disclosures: BJP Demands UPA Government's Resignation

NEW DELHI, Mar 17 (PTI): An aide of Congress leader Satish Sharma allegedly showed a US Embassy employee "two chests containing cash" and said Rs 50-60 crore is ready for use as "pay-offs" to win the support of some MPs ahead of crucial vote of confidence in UPA government over the Indo-US nuke deal, claimed a set of US diplomatic cables released by Wikileaks.

Noting that the Congress party machine was working "overtime" behind the scenes in the run-up to the confidence vote on July 22, 2008, the cables also claimed the party had allegedly paid Rs 10 crores to each of their "four RLD MPs."

RLD chief Ajit Singh denied the allegations of pay-offs and said the party voted against the Manmohan Singh government since it was against the civil nuclear deal.

The cable claimed that Nachiketa Kapur, Sharma's political aide, mentioned to an Embassy staff member in an aside on July 16, 2008 that Ajit Singh's RLD had been paid Rs. 10 crore for each of their "four MPs" to support the government.

Kapur reportedly mentioned that money was not an issue at all, but the crucial thing was to ensure that those who took the money would vote for the government, according to the cable sent from the US Embassy to the US State department dated July 17, 2008.

Kapur showed the Embassy employee "two chests containing cash" and said that "around Rs. 50-60 crore (about $25 million) was lying around the house for "use as pay-offs", the cable claimed. ( BJP demands UPA govt's resignation, Parliament adjourned )

Wikileaks is not authorized by United Nations. Nobody has appointed them to police the world. Just neglect them. Still they did not d the names of Swiss bank money holders they too are working for money. They are black mailing, big business men and govt's. It’s a big mafia. Tomorrow if Wikileaks says BSY has paid 50crores each, to MLA's under Operation Kamala? you will take their word as granted? Only brainless foolish people believe Wikileaks.

You are right Wikileaks is right, but the question arises here is why wikileaks is targeting only Indian admnistration, there are many other corrupt nations for eg: Pakistan etc etc, but wikileaks is only interested in India. Another point corruption is there in every country including America and UK at higher level. This is a conspiracy to destabilise Indian government in order to put a halt on the growing economy.

Gayatri ji, if a Congressman shows an Embassy employee "two chests containing cash around Rs. 50-60 crore” is it the fault of BJP? You know 8 countries suing India for non receipt of payment on services rendered in Common Wealth Games. Do think congress made "India Shinning”?

I guess even wikileaks leak is not hundred percent correct, Indian MP's will not touch 10 crores, I am sure it should have been 100 crores each. Wikileaks would have missed one '0'. Please check again and correct.

WIKILEAKS HAS NO OTHER WORK. IT LOOKS BJP HAS TAKEN OVER WIKILEAKS. BJP HAS NO OTHER AGENDA OR WORK. BY BJP TELLING UPA WILL NOT REISGN. EVEN ONE PIN FALLS BJP TELLS UPA TO RESIGN. FIRST LET BJP TELL THEIR CM YEDDY TO RESIGN. TILL YEDDY RESIGNS BJP HAS NO RIGHT TO ASK FOR UPA RESIGNATION.

WHAT BJP IS THINKING ? THEY WILL COME TO POWER IF UPA RESIGNS ? BJP WILL NEVER COME TO POWER AND THIS WILL REMAIN FOR THEM ONLY A DREAM. ALL ARE UNUNITED IN BJP. NO ONE SEES ANYONES FACE PROPERLY. ONLY DURING RALLIES THEY HOLD EACH OTHERS HAND TO SHOW PUBLIC THEY ARE UNITED. PUBLIC ALSO KNOWS BJP'S TACTICS AND DONT'T GIVE ANY IMPORTANCE TO SUCH DRAMAS.
