India lives in its villages-- MAHATMA GANDHI had famously said- With erratic development -- no rehabilitation -- no jobs -- no security -- with a little compensation - and further sometimes spent recklessly - the displaced people end up going to cities -- Putting pressure on City infrastructure -- living in miserable conditions -- many do menial work etc -- very many social issues - Increase in crime so on and so forth--- Lop sided spatial development-- what is the ultimate goal -- -- FOR -- it is a few who will benefit and money making exercise --

Soon there is going to shortage of food in India. Already conversion of agricultural land is going on large scale. Now Govt also is aquiring agricultural land in the name of development. Politicians give big lectures on preserving nature and this is what they do in the name of development. Poor farmers who dont have any other means of living are just ignored.

No use protesting..When we could not remove the illegal toll gate ,woul you expect such legal government projects can be stopped?? Mangalore/karnataka is already under the control of marvadis and gujratis..now on see how quickly things change .. we will just be slaves to them and our people are still not getting this ..still fighting religion game.. And we deserve this... and these industrial araes are money making areas for others ..not for locals... for locals only polluted air, water and soil will be the take home gifts ....

They dont need jobs in industries. They are agriculturists who earn money the hard way. Government should find barren land for industries not agricultural land. Regarding 2 Cr jobs, they will go to people of other states. Remember MRPL. People who sacriced their land ultimately got CHEMBU.

If you want jobs and business then you have to compromise on land and allow new industries to Mangalore..if you are happy about working as slaves under sheikh in Gulf or happy about migrating to other cities for bread and butter then keep protesting for "pacche pacche kudla..."

It is extremely sad and distressing to see these kind of protests .. Uprooting from places were people have lived for generations.. A whole ethos disrupted.. All for some unscrupulous real estate activities in the name of industry ... More poverty not progress ... Many industrial estates are vacant .. People have not started projects or taken bank loans and scooter .. At every level corruption Even if they agree compensation there will be corruption What is the great factor to select this place For industry all feeder activities also important That means trained and skilled labour Power .. roads .. accessible to all ..markets to sell goods .. Who are the buyers .. And other like schools colleges etc etc .. Shopping and housing medical etc for people who come here .. Many industrial estate idle because they lack as above facilities..
