Qatar Airways to Launch Daily Flight to Kolkata

Dubai, Mar 11 (PTI) As part of its expansion plan, Qatar Airways will be launching its daily direct flights to Kolkata from July.

The airline will be starting its services to Kolkata from July 27, an airline official said.

With the launch of its flights to West Bengal capital, Qatar Airways will be operating 95 services a week spread across the 12 cities.

"This is part of the airline's continued expansion strategy focused on new routes and capacity increases targeting both popular and underserved markets in Europe, Middle East, North America and Asia, from its Doha hub," the airlines said.

Later this year, the airline would be adding three more European cities on its global network.

By 2013, Qatar Airways plans to serve more than 120 key business and leisure destinations worldwide with a modern fleet of over 120 aircraft. Presently, the airline has a fleet of 94 aircraft.
