Death Penalty Sought for All Godhra Convicts


Ahmedabad, Feb 25 (IANS) The prosecution in the Godhra train carnage case Friday sought death penalty for all the 31 men convicted of burning the Sabarmati Express and killing 59 people in February 2002.

Additional Sessions Judge P.R. Patel Friday reserved the judgement on quantum of sentence for March 1.

A special fast track court had Tuesday convicted 31 people and acquitted 63 in the case, which triggered communal frenzy in Gujarat in 2002.

    In this Case the main accused i,e the conspirator is acquitted then whoi is the MASTERMIND behind the carnage

    Definately some POWERFUL POLITICIAN

    with out proving that it is just an eye wash giving death Penalty to the acused

    Aboobaker Uppala,Post Godhara convictions may not come what it should be till Narendra Modi in office of the CM.After intervention of Apex court only some caes of post Godhra were came out.Mr Salve,an senior advocate of Apex court was appointed as AMICUS CURREI of Apex court after several petitions from Human right activitists to bring out truth in the petitins.Hope for a better judgement like Godhra incident.

    A WELCOME DECISION BY THE HONORABLE COURT. SIMILAR DECISION IS EXPECTED FOR THE CARNAGE TOOK PLACE AFTER GODHRA.
