BJP keeping country in permanent state of polarisation, instilling fear: Sonia

Udaipur, May 13 (IANS): In her inaugural address at the Congress 'Chintan Shivir' on Friday, Sonia Gandhi targetted the BJP and alleged that the party was constantly 'playing the polarisation game and instilling fear in the public'.

She said, "By now it has become abundantly and painfully clear what Prime Minister Modi and his colleagues really mean by their slogan maximum governance, minimum government. It means keeping the country in a permanent state of polarisation, compelling people to live in a constant state of fear and insecurity, viciously targeting victimising and often brutalising the minorities who are an integral part of our society and equal citizens of our Republic."

The Congress interim President said the country was looking at the party and the Congressmen should give one message of unity from here outside, but can speak freely inside the party's various forums.

Sonia Gandhi said that she was aware of recent poll defeats, but not nervous as the party will choose the path of struggle despite all the challenges.

Priyanka ma'am gave more speeches than yogiji. Result cong got 2 seats in 403 from earlier 7. Congvis sinking day by day. If ppl like modi can find out 17 lakh odd mid day meal children who never exist than hatsoff to him. Why cong didn't do it in their states. If there is more better and powerful person than modi than show me I will vote for him/her.

To be very frank, Its too late for all this Chinthan Shibirs. In big states you have lost badly and just got 2-3 seats. In few states you have drawn a blank. These states play a crucial role in LS Polls, where most of the LS seats belong to. With the blanks and low number of seats how can your party think of survival even? That too with regional parties getting stronger and above all the growth of AAP.

Maadame ji.. Just introspect. This country gave you so much. You were uncrowned queen here for 10 years or more ! You can even speak your mind here, now !! Would it have been possible for you only or another girl who had come as a daughter in law in your country to speak like this ?? What fear are you talking about? You people lost because you took everything for granted including the majority.
