Mumbai: BSKBA Gopalakrishna Trust celebrates third day of Brahmakalashotsava

Mumbai, May 11: Vidyasimhacharya, head of Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha Mulund addressed the third days celebrations of Brahmakalashotsava held at Gokula auditorium, Sion east on Tuesday, May 10.

NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited CEO, Sadashiva Rao, Sanskrit scholar Dr Usha Chadaga and Federation of Hotel and Restaurant association Maharashtra president Dr Shanker B Shetty Virar were the guests of honour.

Several rituals were held in the morning. B Ramanand Rao and Laxmi Ramananda Rao, Nagesh Rao and Bhagyalaxmi N Rao, Deepak Shivattaya and Prathibha Shivattaya, Krishnaraja Upadhya and Shanta K Upadhya couples were in charge of poojas.

Manjula Bhat and Chandrika Bhat performed devotional music. Karnataka Sangha Mumbai and Kalabharathi Kalavida Balaga performed a dance play titled ‘Sambhavami Yuge Yuge’ written and directed by Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu in the evening with veteran actor Vasudev Marnad in lead role. It was followed by ‘Ahalya Ballal’ skit of the story by Rabindranath Tagore written and directed by Dr Sripad Bhat. A Yakshagana play titled ‘Krishna Leele – Kamsa Vadhe directed by advocate Geeta R L Bhat was enacted by Gokula artistes in the end.

BSKB association and Gopalakrishna Public trust president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel and BSKB vice president Vaman Holla were on the dais.

Prabhaker L Shetty, Dr Surendrakumar Hegde, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, U B Ananda Shetty, B Vivek Shetty, Shama N Shetty, Gopalakrishna Public Trust secretary A P K Pothi, joint secretary P C N Rao, Chitra Melmane, joint treasurer P B Kusuma Srinivas, ladies wing president I K Prema S Rao, Vijayalaxmi Suresh Rao, Dr Shrathi Krishnamurthi Hebbar, office bearers and members took part in the religious and cultural programmes.

Bharathi Udupa sang a prayer. Vice president Shailini Rao welcomed. Dr Adithi R L Bhat compered the hall programme. Treasurer CA Haridas Bhat rendered a vote of thanks.
