Mumbai: Conclusion of Global Saraswatha sangam held at Vashi

Mumbai, May 2: The day long global Saraswatha Sangam held at Gold Christ High School auditorium, Vashi, Navi Mumbai on May 1 concluded after the blessings of Chitrapur math seer Sadyojatha Shankerashrama Swamiji and Kashi temple seer Srimad Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji.

The event was held under the aegis of Global Saraswath Federation, All India cultural organization and GSB Sabha, Mumbai. Major general G D Bhakshi, Nithin Ramesh Gokarn, author Shefali Vaidya, Dr Kuldeep S Agnishekar, author Surendranath Bhat Mulki, Gautham E Takur, Roopa Bhati, Sampath Saraswath Bamanvali and organizers of the event and sponsors were honored by Sripada with shawl, fruits and flowers and memento. Mukund Kamath read the message of Vidyadeesha Theertha Sripada Vader Swamiji.

Atul Kudwa gave an introduction. Vishwa Saraswat Federation Convener (Mangalore MLA) D Vedavyas Kamath, President Pradeep G Pai, vice president and organizing committee president Deepak Bhasker Shenoy, chief convener Mohandas Mallya, GSB Sabha Navi Mumbai president S R Pai, honorary secretary Vasanth Kumar Bantwal, treasurer Pramod S Kamath, joint secretary Surendranath Kamath, joint treasurer K Premananda Mallya, chief advisor R G Bhat, chief convener Amith Pai, other office bearers, members, Chaitanya Gulwadi, GSB community members and others had gathered in large number.

The programme began after prayers from the priests. AISCO president Dr Ajith Gunjikar, VSF trustee CA Nandagopal Shenoy and Pravin Kadle Chitrapur performed Padapooje of Sripada. VSF president Pradeep G Pai welcomed. VSF programme secretary Madhava Kamath compered the programme. Dr Deepak Bhasker Shenoy rendered a vote of thanks.

Ashta Laxmis team of Alka Lajmi, Jyothi D Shenoy, Divya Prabhu, Sneha Kudva, Pooja Pai, Swathi Nadkarni, Roopa Kini, Roshni Kamath and Samraddi Nadkarni performed dances.
