Mumbai, Feb 12: The local committee of Billavara Association organized an ‘Arasina Kumkum’ programme at Crystal auditorium of Lalit Hotel, Goregaon West here, recently.

Deepthi Yogesh Suvarna presided over the programme. Padmaja Mannur of Goregaon Karnataka Sangha women’s department was the chief guest for the occasion and she inaugurated the programme in a traditional manner. Rekha Chandrashekar Kukyan and Laxmi Konchady were the honorary guests.

Girija Poojary and troupe presented a Bajan. Along with Girija Pushpa Suvarna and Padmavathirendered a paryer song with which the Haldi-Kumkum programme started off.

Deepthi Suvarna briefed the gathering about the prominence of haldi- Kumkum programme and also aboutr ratha sapthami. Billavara Association Goregaon committee’s working president J V Kotian and other office bearers of the committee and senior leader Shambu Suvarna were present. The dignitaries felicitated Pushpa Amin on the occasion.
