Udupi: Auto rickshaw driver assaults bike rider

Udupi, Apr 27: A youth bike rider was assaulted in Manipal suspecting that he was following an auto rickshaw.

The victim has been identified as Praveen of Chanturu in Brahmavar and was working in Manipal when this incident happened.

Praveen had taken his friend’s bike on Sunday, April 24, to go for work to Manipal. When he was approaching the Manipal Press, he got a call and so he stopped his vehicle to attend the call. An auto driver stopped his vehicle and assaulted Praveen asking him why he was following the auto. The passenger in the auto, Pushpalatha who knew Praveen also criticized him for following their vehicle.

Praveen, in a police complaint filed with Manipal police, said the auto driver had threatened him with his life.

    looks like someone in auto rickshaw was feeling "bit risky?"as they say "kalvana mansu hullage "Everyone is nowadays simply feel like beating before asking.
