Mumbai: JAVAB Annual Get Together Throws Spotlight on Tulunadu Culture

Mumbai, Feb 6: “Culture is intrinsic to mankind and promotes brotherhood and co-existence.  Juhu Andheri Versova Ville Parle Association of Bunts (JAVAB) aims to promote and safeguard the Bunts’ culture, besides strengthening the community bond,” said JAVAB president Raghu L Shetty.
 
He was speaking at the inaugural of the stage programme held as part of the 14th annual get-together of JAVAB at Lokandwala Complex Residents Association grounds, Samarth Nagar, Andheri (West), on Saturday February 5.










JAVAB founder president Divakar M Shetty, former president B Vivek Shetty, and past president Anand V Shetty urged the community members to support JAVAB to make it a leading Bunts’ organization in sustaining age old culture.
 
JAVAB joint secretary Madhukar A Shetty, joint treasurer Ashok R Shetty, and Dr Vachan Shetty were present on the dais.
 
Former presidents Ramesh U Shetty, lawyer Anand V Shetty, and N C Shetty, and executive committee members were also present on the occasion. 
 
Traditional Tulunadu cuisine and delicacies were served to all.  It was an attempt to make known the traditional food of Tulunadu to the new generation of Bunts in the metro.
 
Sneha Shetty and group rendered the prayer song.  Vice-president Nagesh N Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Honorary chief secretary B Shivaram Naik presented the annual report.  Honorary treasurer Jagdish V Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.  C V Shetty and Ranjani Shetty compered the programme.
 
The cultural programmes on the occasion were staged by JAVAB members and their children.
