Mumbai: Renovated BSKBA Gokula building inaugurated

Mumbai, Apr 6: The building belonging to Bombay South Brahmins association and Gopalakrishna Public trust renovated with modern facilities at Sion east, was inaugurated and blessed by Udupi Adamaru Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamy on Wednesday, April 6.

Senior priest of Gokula Vedamurthi Udupa accompanied by priests Krishnaraja Upadhyaya, Srinivas Bhat, Gopala Bhat, Giridhar Udupa, Nagaraja Aithal, S N Udupa Jerimeri, Nagaraja Udupa, Dinesh Uparna and Giriraj Udupa performed poojas, distributed theertha prasada and blessed. Dr Suresh S Rao couple was in charge of the rituals.

Veena Shastri and her disciples sang devotional songs, artists of Gokula presented Yakshagana music and Yaksha Bhojana, a unique programme. Jayaprakash Needuvannaya, Harish Salian, Pravin Shetty, Raghavendra Mala, A P Patak and Prasanna Heggar were the co-artists. CA Haridas Bhat gave an introduction and compered the programme.

BSKBA’s K Subbanna Rao, vice president Vaman Holla, treasurer CA Haridas Bhat, joint secretary P C N Rao, Chitra Melmane, joint treasurer P B Kusuma Srinivas, women’s wing president I K Prema S Rao, Gopalakrishna public trustees A Srinivas Rao, B Ramananda Rao, Krishna Acharya, Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali Mumbai president K L Bangera, Devadigara Sangha Mumbai honorary chief secretary Vishwanatha B Devadiga, Rama Vittala Kalluraya, Hari Bhat Mundkur, Sudhir R L Bhat, Dr A S Rao, Adamaru math’s Laxminarayana Muchintaya, Padubidri V Rajesh Rao, Dr M Narendra, Dr G V Kulkarni, donors and devotees were present.
