Mumbai, Apr 6: The concluding programme of the annual sports festival for the year 2022 by Bunts Sangha, Mumbai was held at Poisar Gymkhana playground, Kandivali west on April 3. Bunts Sangha Hebri president, Udaya Krishnayya Shetty charitable trust president Udaya Shetty Muniyal was the chief guest.
Borivili education committee president Dr Padmanabha V Shetty and international Kabaddi player Dhyanchand awardee, Manpreet Singh were the guests of honour. Poisar Gymkhana president Mukesh Bhandary, vice president Karunaker S Shetty, Asian games Kabaddi gold medal winner Neer Gulia, Sangha’s Vasai Dahanu regional committee president and chief sponsor Harish Pandu Shetty, national awardee Kabaddi player Jaya A Shetty, Bunts Sangha vice president Ulthoor Mohandas Shetty, honorary chief secretary Dr R K Shetty, honorary treasurer CA Harish D Shetty, joint secretary Diwaker Shetty Indrali, joint treasurer Mundappa S Payyade, women’s wing president Uma Krishna Shetty, youth wing president Sagar Diwaker Shetty, sports committee president Girish R Shetty Thellar, Pravin Shetty Varanga and Vittal S Alva were on the dais.
International sportsperson, Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee Rohith Kateel, Manpreet Singh, Neer Gulia, Narish Pandu Shetty, Mukesh Bhandary, Karunaker Shetty, Jaya A Shetty, Girish R Shetty Thellar and Banrata Sangha chief office bearers were felicitated.
Jogeshwari – Dahisar regional committee won first prize, Andheri – Bandra regional committee second prize and Mira – Bhayandar regional committee won third prize. The guests handed over the prizes to the winners and congratulated them.
President of the sangha, Chandrahas K Shetty and office bearers honoured with mementos the sponsors, co-sponsors, judges, heads of various Bants associations, presidents of nine regional committees, conveners, subcommittee presidents, women’s wing and youth wing office bearers.
Vijay Shetty Moodubelle sang a prayer. Sports committee president Girish R Shetty Thellar welcomed. Jaya A Shetty introduced the guests. Ashok Pakkala compered the programme. Chief Secretary of the sangha, Dr R K Shetty read the list of felicities and rendered a vote of thanks.
