Mumbai: Two sisters attacked on their way home

Mumbai, Apr 4: Two sisters were attacked in Charkop on Friday, April 1 around 10:30pm while they were returning home from work in an auto. They are said to be employed as bar girls.

As the sisters got off the vehicle at Charkop's sector 1 area, accused Sanjay Surve and his two accomplices first slashed the older sister in her arm with a sharp weapon, and when the younger one came to her rescue, they slashed her on the back.

Police said that Surve who is absconding, used to be in a relationship with older sister, and was pursuing her after break up. A case of assault and molestation is registered.
