Melbourne, Jan 22 (IANS): India's Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi moved into the third round of the Australian Open with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory over Spain's Feliciano Lopez and Argentina's Juan Monaco here Saturday.
The third-seeded Indians will now play the Spanish pair of Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo, who defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine and Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic 7-5, 6-3.
Paes and Bhupathi, a former World No.1 pair, are playing together in a Grand Slam after nine years in their bid to complete a career slam.
