Women of Brahmashree Narayan Guru Seva Samiti Conduct ‘Arasina Kumkum’

The women’s wing of the city-based Brahmashree Narayan Guru Seva Samiti organized an ‘Arasina Kumkum’ programme here, recently.  Brahmashree Narayan Guru is the deity of the Billava community.  
 
Speaking on the occasion, women’s wing president Nutan Suvarna said that women should not restrict themselves to their family duties but take active part in associations in order to contribute to societal progress and avoid tragedies arising out of seclusion.
 


She urged the community’s women to take an active role in the activities of the women’s wing.
 
Prema Poojary, Maynavati Poojary, Janaki Poojary, Bharati Poojary, and Gulabi Poojary started the programme.
 
Gunashekar Chitrapu, Geetha Poojary, Arati Suvarna, Mamata Anchan, and Manisha Poojary offered ‘Arasina Kumkum’ to all women during the programme that was sponsored by Kusuma Salian, Sangeetha Suvarna, and Gowri Salian who were also honoured on the same occasion.
 
Kusuma Salian, Bhagyashree Poojary, Pushpa Anchan, and Ranjita Poojary rendered the prayers.  Nutan Suvarna compered the programme.
