Riyadh, Dec 20: Shirva Abdullah Mohammed, aged 64, died after suffering a couple of weeks’ illness at Green Crescent Hospital in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently. Abdullah originally hails from Shirva-Manchakal in Udupi District. He was a senior resident, working for the last 32 years in Aldrees Company Riyadh, one of the leading transport Companies in Saudi Arabia.

Abdullah was admitted to the hospital about a fortnight ago when he complained of an extreme breathing problem and chest pain. He was kept in ICU and later he was shifted to the general ward. It has been informed to Daijiworld that the treatment in ICU for nine days and later medication in the general ward was totally unsatisfactory and disappointing. Doctor Marwan, an Egyptian, who was treating the patient in the hospital, was neither responding to the relatives properly about his  unimproved  health condition nor did he advise the transfer of the patient to other specialized hospital for the right treatment. Hence, the relatives of the deceased decided to shift him to another hospital.

However, his condition remained unimproved until it got extremely deteriorated as his blood pressure came down and he breathed his last.

On hearing the news of his death, a lot of his relatives, friends and well-wishers rushed to the hospital. The dead body was kept in the hospital’s mortuary, awaiting legal and administrative procedures. It has been informed to Daijiworld that a duly attested authorization of his wife and mother consenting for the burial of the dead body in Riyadh cemetery was received by the Indian Embassy and his son Haneef, in order to take the appropriate action in the Kingdom. The funeral rites were held a day after his death.

The deceased is survived by his wife, mother, son Haneef (who was with his father throughout the treatment and death in the hospital), two daughters, four brothers and sisters and relatives and friends. Abdullah was back to Riyadh from his hometown after attending his only son’s marriage about a month back.

Very Sad to hear this news. It is unfortunate that the doctor attended this case was an Egyptian. please do not go to an Egyptian doctor, as 90% of them are not qualified, but still they work in Gulf as doctors. May God rest his soul in Peace.
