Mangaluru: Make efforts to reach govt programmes effectively: Minister

Mangaluru, Jan 28: State Kannada and culture, and district in-charge minister Sunil Kumar asked the representatives and the officials concerned to sincerely work towards implementing the programmes introduced by the state government for the welfare of common people during the next one and half years

Addressing a meeting organised for the representatives and staff of various departments at DC office on Friday, January 28, he said, "It is six months now since Basavarj Bommai's government came to power and we need to implement the programmes introduced by the state government to its beneficiaries effectively."

"The team of officials and representatives should work unitedly to bring pride to the government and put efforts to solve the problems of the  people," the minister added.

The minister also asked to complete projects within the deadlines. "If the work is neglected or the files are delayed, it will be tolerated ," he warned.

There should be co-operation between the departments and the staff, he added.

He also said that in future, a campaign will be organised to dispose off the pending files.

MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty, deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra,  ZP CEO Kumar and MCC commissioner Akshy Shridhar and others were present.
