Mumbai: Maha Governor Koshyari at 72nd Anniversary of Republic Day

Mumbai (RBI), Jan.26:The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari unfurled the National Flag and delivered his Republic Day Message to the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Republic of India at the State function held at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Wednesday January 26. The Governor read out his Republic Day speech in Marathi.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Smt Rashmi Thackeray, State Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Guardian Minister of Mumbai City Aslam Sheikh, Deputy Chairperson of State Legislative Council Dr Neelam Gorhe, Mayor of Mumbai Kishori Pednekar, Chairperson of Maharashtra State Women’s Commission Rupali Chakankar, Chief Secretary Debashish Chakrabarti, Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey, Municipal Commissioner I S Chahal, Commissioner of Police Hemant Nagrale and officials were present.

Earlier, the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari unfurled the National Tricolour at Raj Bhavan. The Governor saluted the National Flag even as the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan and the jawans of the State Reserve Police Force sang the National Anthem. The Governor exchanged Republic Day greetings with the officials and their families on the occasion.
