Kuwait: KWAK Celebrates Parish Feast with Grandeur, Devotion

Kuwait, Dec 11: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait (KWAK) , an association of Kanajarians residing here celebrated their parish feast, recently.

The feast is celebrated in Kuwait every year with the support of all the Kanajarian families residing in Kuwait and also in adoration of our patron, Our Lady of Lourdes. Soon after the mass, in the evening, a get-together was held at the Village Inn Restaurant, Kuwait. Guests of  honour was Fr John Hary D’Souza, parish priest of Our Lady of Arabia Church, Ahmadi, Kuwait. Fr  John Hary D’Souza honoured John D’Sa on behalf of KWAK, a well dedicated member of KWAK, is leaving Kuwait to settle with his family after working 22 years in Kuwait President Henry Britto welcomed all. The annual prize for the lucky member of the year 2010 was won by Ivy Saldanha. On the occasion two of the Kanajareans newly arrived to Kuwait honoured by founder member John D’Sa.

The compere for the evening, Edward D'souza kept the spirit of the party lively and joyful with his jokes and entertaining comments. The event which lasted till late night was well appreciated by all. The programme concluded with Charlotte D’Souza’s vote of thanks.
