Brahmavar: Police atrocity - Sunil Kumar visits victim Koraga family, assures justice

Daijiworld Media Network – Brahmavar (MS)

Brahmavar, Jan 2: Minister Sunil Kumar visited the house of Rajesh, victim of police atrocity of Kota police station personnel, who allegedly beat and harassed the family members and Rajesh during the Mehendi programme that was held at Koraga Colony of Kotathattu gram panchayat limits.

Speaking to media after the visit, Sunil Kumar said, “I condemn the police high handedness and regret the incident. As I was on state tour my visit got delayed by one day. Definitely, the police officials of Kota police station have toed the line of duty with the Koraga community, which is financially and socially backward. There is no question of me defending the police officers. I will condemn this in strong words.

“Kota Srinivas Poojary immediately paid a visit to the family and ensured corrective action. Home minister Araga Jnanendra also consoled the family on Saturday. He has assured action and compensation from home as well as social welfare department. I will instruct the district administration and other concerned officers to work within limits with regards to this incident.

“When government officials discharge their duties, they must take care not to hurt the feelings of any community. I will hold one more round of talks with the district administration on the false case filed by Kota police personnel on the hapless Koraga family.

“District administration is ready to provide justice to the family as per the instructions given by the home minister. In future this type of incident should not recur. Corrective action will be taken in that regard,” he said.

What does this hr mean by saying "Definitely, the police officials of Kota police station have toed the line of duty with the Koraga community, which is financially and socially backward."? He should be saying "Definitely, the police officials of Kota police station have CROSSED THEIR line of duty with the Koraga community, which is financially and socially backward."

The damage is already done, you simply cannot reverse the injustice meted out. Please ask your police to stay within their limits. Now you are trying to shut their mouth with money and at the same time trying to get maximum publicity - part of vote bank politics.
