Udupi: NSS-YRC-RC Unit, Central Library of SMVITM holds mega donation drive

Udupi, Jan 1: NSS-YRC-RC Unit and Central Library of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, jointly organized a mega donation drive in the institute premises.

The event was organized in four different categories; (i) Books (ii) Clothes (iii) Toys (iv) Stationary items. Many students, faculty and staff members participated in this drive by donating old books, CET books, Novels, Motivational books, clothes, toys and many stationary items. More than 50 faculty, staff and students donated a total of 325 books, 40 clothes and many stationary items like note books, pens, pencils, erasers, sketch pens etc.

The donated items were handover to Vishwasada Mane Orphanage at Shankarpura, Udupi. Principal professor Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, vice principal professor Dr Ganesh Aithal appreciated all the faculty, staff and students for donating various items. The event was coordinated by Nagaraja Rao, coordinator, NSS-YRC-RC Unit, Sowmya S, library coordintaor, Deepak S librarian and all the members of NSS-YRC-RC Unit and Library Club.
