Mumbai: Kids, Adults Participate with Enthusiasm in Bunts Assn Sports Meet

Mumbai, Dec 2: The annual sports meet of Bombay Bunts Association (BBA) concluded at Andheri Sports Complex, Andheri (West), here on Sunday November 28.
 
BBA president Jayant K Shetty presided over the concluding ceremony. Crystal Automachine Private Limited chairman Santoor Chandrashekar S Shetty was the chief guest.
 
BBA women wing president Asha M Hegde, Soni Steel and Appliances Private Limited managing director Panduranga S Shetty, Valvefit Industries Private Limited directors Suman Shantaram Bhandary and Ramesh Shekar Shetty, Somes Machine Tools Private Limited managing director Balakrishna Bhandary Kolambe, Navi Mumbai social worker Suresh G Shetty were the special invitees.
 
BBA sports committee president C N Shetty, secretary Jaya C Shetty, vice president Shyam N Shetty, honorary secretary lawyer U Shekar Shetty, honorary treasurer Santhosh Kumar R Shetty, women wing executive president Susheela C Shetty and other office-bearers were also present.
 
The Kabaddi team of BBA’s Bandra – Andheri regional committee bagged the first place in men’s division while Fort 11 bagged the second place.  Juhu Andheri Ville Parle Association of Bunts (JAVAB) men’s team secured the first place in tug-of-war, while BBA came second.
























BBA women’s wing bagged the first place in women’s tug-of-war, while BBA’s Navi Mumbai regional committee won the second place. Bunts Sangh – Mumbai won the throw ball competition by beating BBA.
 
Avinash Shetty secured 11 points in the age group of 15 to 18 years, Tushar Shetty secured 8 points in the age group of 19 – 22 years while Rajesh Rai 6 points in the age group of 23 to 30 years and Yermal Ganesh Shetty 6 points in the age group of 31 to 40 years in men’s category.
 
Among women, Nikhita Shetty secured 15 points in the age group of 15 to 18 years, Vivikta Shetty 10 points in the age group of 19 – 22 years, Hita Shetty 15 points in the age group of 22 – 30 years and Swapna J Shetty 11 points in the age group of 31 to 40 years.
 
The prizes and trophies were distributed by the BBA office-bearers on the occasion. Children as wells as adults of the Bunt community participated with equal enthusiasm in the sports meet.
