Sanket Bags Gold in National Karate Championship

Mumbai, Dec 1:
Sanket Suresh Kanchan bagged gold in national Karate championship held at Mahabaleshwar, near here recently.
 


He won gold under 12 year division and 42 kilograms category during the championship organized by Maharastra Karate Association at Kalidasa auditorium, Mulund in 2009.
 
Sahyadri Trackers and Sports Association, Maharastra had organized the championship in association with National Championship of Okinawa Martial Arts Academy and sponsored by All India Karate Du Federation, Japan Karate Shotokai India – Okinawa Martial Arts Academy.
 
Sanket is son of Suresh R Kanchan, managing director of Cllassique group of Hotel and Yashoda couple, who hail from Uppinakudru village of Kundapura taluk in Udupi district.  He is pursuing his eighth standard studies in Antonio D’Silva High School, Dadar. He has won many medals in sports.
