Mangaluru: Presidency School gets British Council International Dimension in Schools certification

Mangaluru, Dec 22: Presidency School in Mangaluru has been recognised with the British Council’s prestigious International Dimension in Schools certification in appreciation of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

The International Dimension in Schools certificationcelebratesthe achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life workin today’s world.

PSMNG’s international work includes study on folktales, respecting the elderly, symmetry in architecture, unsung heroes in the field of environmental conservation, Oorganic farming and its methods, study of small scale industries and bullying among students.

On hearing the news that PSMNG had received the certification, Shaila Saldhana, principal said, “It was the dream come true for PSMNG. The efforts put in by the teachers, students and parents during this pandemic has derivedbenefit in a comprehensive style, enabling a holistic growth in the students through cross-culture exchange of views and opinions.”

Virtual Certification ceremony was held on December 17, 2021. Shaila Saldhana and the IDS coordinators Ayesha Ilham and Harisha attended the event.
