Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes 'Bibliophile: The Buzz About Books'

Mangaluru, Dec 20: There is a vast difference between reading from books and reading from the internet, wherein reading hard copy books enables the reader to internalize the content said Sr Dr Venissa AC, Pprincipal of the St Agnes college, addressing at the programme 'Bibliophile: The Buzz About Books' conducted by the Library and Information Centre.

She has emphasized on the importance of a library and motivated the students to use the available resources in the library. The students from II BA, Swathi, Alima Baji, Yashashwi and from II BSC, Sathwika Shetty, Ishika and Neha presented a book review of hindi books namely -‘Nirmala’, ‘Lekhak’, ‘Smritiyon Mein Naari' ‘Samaj Me Naari Ka Mahatva’, ‘Parivar’ and ‘Gandhiji: Mahan Netha.

Dr Vishala B. K, librarian, welcomed the gathering and briefed the audience about the programme. Dr R Nagesh, HOD of Hindi proposed the vote of thanks and all the presenters were given a book as a token of appreciation for their participation. Dr Shailaja H G, Dr Uday Kumar, Amora, the library Ccommittee members and students were present for the programme.
