Mangaluru: Webinar on research opportunities in coastal, marine ecology held

Mangaluru, Dec 17: A webinar on ‘Coastal and Marine Ecology: An Ocean of Research Opportunities’ was held by the Department of Zoology, St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangalore on December 16, for the final year BSc Biological Science students.

Prof Dr Chandresh S Dave, assistant professor, Bahauddin Government Science College, Junagadh, Gujarat, was the resource person. He emphasized on the importance of coastal ecology, marine biodiversity and research opportunities for the sustainable development and its conservation.

He also briefed on the scope of research at the coastal region and various aspects of biodiversity conservation. He also threw light on the scope of life science subject at present times and different job roles offered to the life science students in various fields.

A total of 102 participants were present.
