Vijayapura, Dec 17: A man who suspected that his wife was loyal to him, killed him by hanging her with a sari. Later he hanged himself. This incident happened in Benala R S village in Nidgundi taluk of the district.
Hanamavva Shivappa Managuli (45) from the village was killed by her husband, Shivappa Ramappa Managuli (48). Shivappa Ramappa later hanged himself. He had suspected the character of his wife. He therefore led her to their field with the specific aim of killing her. After murdering her, he developed cold feet and hanged himself from the neem tree in his field.
