Puttur, Dec 16: A gang which arrived in a Maruti Swift car, attacked a person standing in front of his shop with a sword and kidnapped him. This incident reportedly happened at Kolpe near Nellyadi about a week back. The scene of the crime is captured by the CCTV camera of the said shop. This video has become viral in the social media.
Abdul Majeed N K (45), owner of N K Supermarket, Kolpe, had closed down the shop for the day and was standing outside when a gang waylaid him by flashing a sword. The cameras show him being forcibly taken in a car. The gang dropped him back in front of the petrol bunk at Kolpe at 2 am before fleeing. He was found to have suffered serious injuries. He was admitted into a private hospital at Puttur.
Majeed's wife, Ayesha, has filed a complaint in Uppinangady police station relating to the attack and abduction of her husband.
