Mumbai, Nov 26:
Dharmapal U Devadiga, Devadiga community leader and vice-president of Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (NGO) will be conferred with Global Man Award – 2010 during seventh Vishwa Kannada Samskrati Sammelan, held at Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre, Singapore from Saturday November 27 to Sunday November 28.
 
Karnataka Kannada and culture minister Govind Karajola will inaugurate the Sammelan. The programme is organized by Singapore Kannada Sangh and ‘Hradayavahini’ Kannada monthly bulletin in association with Karnataka Kannada and culture department.
 
Kannada and culture department director Manu Baligar will release the special issue of ‘Hradayavahini’ Kannada monthly bulletin on the occasion.
 
Vishwa Kannada Rajyotsav Award will be presented to Kannada litterateur, Omdas Kannangar during the programme.
 
Dr Baragoor Ramachandrappa will preside over the programme. Dr Nagoor, Indian ambassador of Singapore and Sammelan committee president will be the chief guest.
 
Karnataka home minister R Ashok will be the guest of honour.
 
Jamavati Kalyana, Yakshagana play will be staged by the artistes of Yaksha Shikshana Trust, Manipal on the occasion.
 
Kannada Development Authority president Mukyamatri Chandru will preside over the valedictory and conferring of awards ceremony.
 
Karnataka heavy industries minister Murugesh Nirani will be the special guest for the programme, stated the press release  issued by K P Manjunath, convener of Singapore Kannada Sangh and head of ‘Hradayavahini’ Kannada monthly bulletin.
