Udupi, Dec 14: St Mary’s English Medium (CBSE) School, Kannarpady NCC Naval Unit conducted 'Puneeth Sagar Abhiyan' on December 11, which is a nationwide campaign to free seashores/beaches from plastic and other waste materials and increase awareness about the importance of keeping these clean.
Under the campaign, cadets have generated awareness about the conservation and impact of plastic pollution along the sea beaches collecting the plastic and other waste products and by separating biodegradable, non-biodegradable and glass waste.
The camp was held at Malpe Beach Site under the guidance of 6 KAR NCC Naval Unit, Udupi.
The camp was supervised by PI staff PO Tanmay and ANO Lancy Mendonca. Fr Johnson Sequeira, the principal of St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady was present on the occasion.
