There were 19 teams eagerly participated in the contest, each team consisting of two students. There was lot of enthusiasm and energy flowing in while exhibiting the culinary skills by the students. Wide variety of juices, pastries, cookies, salad, savouries, cakes and other delicious items were prepared and presented in a classy manner for judgement just within 30-35 minutes. It was an uphill task for the judges to taste each and every item and give the scores. The judgement was based on taste, hygiene, and over all presentation of the items prepared. Contestants also explained the process of preparation of various items to the judges.

Sabina D’Sousa, head, department of Bachelors in Business Administration, and Harsha, assistant professor, department Economics from St Agnes College were the judges of this challenging contest. The winners of the contest were:

First Prize: Hawwa and Laisha
Second Prize: Shefali and Melora
Third Prize: Afeefa and Uzma

Dr Devi Prabha Alva, coordinator of EDF welcomed the judges and students and gave the instructions of the contest. Halimath Arshiya, secretary of EDF thanked and offered mementoes to judges.

This contest not only provided a platform to exhibit the culinary skills of students, but made them learn the entrepreneurial values such as team work, time management, planning, organising and coordinating the necessary items required. They also kept the place clean after the contest. Batch mates and friends of contestants relished the sweets and savouries at the end of the contest.
