Mumbai: Mumbai University honors Dr S K Ramamurthi for receiving Ph D

Mumbai, Dec 8: Bengaluru institute of Vedic studies has awarded Ph D in Kannada to S K Ramamurthi for his research of Purandaradasa and Jnanadeva. He was felicitated on behalf of Mumbai university Kannada department at its Kalina campus, Santacruz east on December 7.

Dr G N Upadhya, head of the Kannada department commended the research work of S K Ramamurthi. Guest lecturer and thesis guide Dr Vishwanath Karnad said that the work of Ramamurthi is a great model for research.

Dr Ramamurthi said that the guidance of Dr Karnad and the encouragement of Dr G N Upadhya made his prestigious research possible. Kannada department’s Dr Durgapa Y Kotiavar compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
