Udupi: Guest talk on 'Career Mapping and Effective Communication' held at SMVITM

Udupi, Dec 7: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), in association with IEEE student branch organized a talk on 'Career Mapping and Effective Communication' for the students of 2nd year Computer Science & Engineering on November 29.

Prasad Pai K, senior solution architect, Niveus Solutions Pvt Ltd, Udupi was the resource person for the event. Prasad gave an insight to the students on different domains in IT Industry and also told the students to select the area of their interest for their career. He also focused on resume writing and emphasized the need to have a very attractive resume. Prasad told that writing is an art and gets better only with practice.

At the end of the session he called upon students to summarize the entire session. Manvitha Bhat, Shridhar and Sainath presented a brief summary about the talk.

Savitha Shenoy, assistant professor (Sr), from department of Computer Science & Engineering coordinated the event. HoD of CSE Dr Nagaraj Bhat, dean R&C Dr Vasudeva and placement officer Vidhya Bhat were present throughout the event.
