Mangaluru: Srinivas University holds day-long workshop on 'Yoga and Mental Health'

Mangaluru, Dec 5: Srinivas University, department of Clinical Psychology, College of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University hosted a workshop on 'Ýoga and Mental Health' on December 3, at seminar hall, ground floor, engineering block, Mukka.

Malathi Vivek, yoga therapist, Founder of Athmagyanayoga, Bangalore, was the guest of the event. The main aim of the workshop was to teach the practical strategies to deal with anxiety and stress.

The workshop was conducted for BSc and MSc clinical psychology students on a hybrid mode, both online and offline, students were trained on different types of yogasana. She also gave a brief idea on how to handle the stress related cases with relaxation methods. The programme included different kinds of yogasana related to anxiety, stress and relaxation.
