Asian Games squash: Saurav Loses in Semis, Settles for Bronze


 

Guangzhou, Nov 20 (IANS) India's Saurav Ghoshal lost his semi-final clash against Mohammad Azlan Iskandar of Malaysia to pick up a bronze medal in the men's singles squash competition at the Asian Games here Saturday.

World No. 25 Saurav fought hard against a player ranked ten places higher than him but eventually lost 5-11, 11-6, 5-11, 10-12.

Saurav also won a bronze at the Doha Games four years ago.

India could not win a medal in the women's singles as Dipika Pallikal and Joshana Chinappa crashed out in the quarter-finals Friday.
