Mangaluru: Athena Institute of Health Sciences - Alumni inauguration

Mangaluru, Dec 4: Connect today, transform tomorrow, and be in touch with one another. And to be in touch with one another, the inaugural ceremony of the 'Alumni Association' of Athena Institute of Health Sciences, Mangaluru was held on December 3, 2021.

The programme began at 3.00 pm with a prayer song by the 4th year BSc(N) outgoing students followed by a welcome speech by Sr Deepa Peter, principal of Athena institute of Health Sciences. Lamp was lit by the dignitaries and the programme was officially inaugurated. Sr Aileen Mathias, the vice principal of Athena Institute of Health Sciences gave an overview of Alumni Association. The various activities, functioning strategy, aims, objective, importance and lot more was clearly explained.

Jyothimol and Prashwin shared their experience as the Alumni of the college.

Sr Loredana Korah the chief guest of the event gave a brief overview of the real need of the alumni association. Then there was the general body election under the guidance of Sr Aileen Mathias. The executive committee members were elected. The elected members are -
President - Anaklita Dorina Vaz
Vice-president - Angel Benny
Secretary- Sr Glani Zeena D’Souza
Joint secretary - Aleena Jose
Treasurer - Jyothimol P V
Other five members are: Prashwin Reena S D’Mello, Vinitha Josna Madtha, Feba Varghese Mathew, Megha Glaoria D’Souza, Akshatha K

The vote of thanks was delivered by Sr Glany, outgoing student of 2nd year MSc nursing. The entire programme was compered by Anaklita outgoing student of 2nd year MSc nursing.
The programme was concluded by 5.00pm.
