Karwar: Picture of mutilated statue of Lord Shiva found in terrorist publication

Daijiworld Media Network - Karwar (SP)

Karwar, Nov 23: The picture of the huge statue of Lord Shiva found at Murudeshwar, a famous spot of tourism in Uttara Kannada district, has been published in a publication of a notorious terrorist organization. There is suspicion that this could be inkling about the proposed terrorist attack at the site.

The photo of Lord Shiva at Murudeshwar has been edited to look like its skull has been cut off from the statue. It has been published in the ISIS publication. This photo has become viral on social media websites. A person named Anshul Saxena has posted this picture in his accounts in a bid to attract the attention of the government. The photo has been published in 'The Voice of Hind', the mouthpiece of ISIS. The picture is accompanied by the sentence, 'It is time to break the false gods'. A flag is depicted as fluttering in the skull area of the statue.

Even though there is no clarity about the picture being official, Saxena, in his posts, has urged the governments to take safety measures immediately. The police department could not give its response immediately. The people want the department concerned to check the veracity of the photo and other information and to ensure that such vandalism aimed at desecration is not allowed.

ISIS belongs to a bunch of psychopaths who enjoy killing, beheading, drowning, bombing..etc. They don't have any respect to human life or to God! They are disgrace to the religion. More then 90 percent of people slaughtered BY ISIS, belongs to the same religion!!!

First of all, I hope some kind of validation of the photo is done and also do something to block the reach of that publication into ip addresses under India. However, this is not very different from what happened to (a) Bahamian Buddhas (20th Century), (b) Statues in some of our heritage sites also look like this (7th Century onward). There is one connection and there was one logical conclusion that followed destruction of Bhamian Buddha and destruction of statues at heritage sites in India. Talibans are back in power after destruction and so where the plunders who arrived at our shores after 7th Century. Sword was stronger then, IT is the strength today. Society as a whole needs to unite against such ideas percolating again, which we have learned in the history will have disastrous consequences.

The holy books preach good things irrespective of religion, though with a slight bias to their followers. But every religious leaders have twisted these teachings to their benefit.

We strongly condemn such acts. Whoever done it punished according to law of this country. Religion only teach all how to live in the society and not to divide. Our forefathers once followed Hinduism which we should not forget.

Sanjay, "NAMAGE YAAVAGALU BUDDI FULL UNTU & BUDDI JAASTI AAGI BEREYAVARIGE KODUTHEVE, NIMAGE BEKADARE KELI DARMAKE KODUVE:)... ...OORALLI MAATRA SALPA JANARIGE BUDDI KADIME UNTU ADARINDA AVARA KAMAALE KANNIGE ELLAVU HALADI ". Here I am not supporting these kind of perverted act and strongly condemn it. No one has A right to abuse my faith. BUT my concern is, this is not first time someone insulting his own faith to blame others and encash it, specially during election time. Very simple and repeat it again "when elections are near, expect these kind of perverted act more and everyone knew which party is encashing this" Finally just asking "who is supplying modern weapons to these perverted terrorist like ISIS, Al Qaeda, LTTE, IRA, FAARC?????? everyone knows who is producing these weapons but million dollar question is how they end up with these ???????? So hope you got my point and not interested any debate on this as it's waste of time to blind (actually who act as blind not real)

Conspiracy apart it is true that this thinking is real in most of the communitys mind. This statue being closer to Bhatkal i would not been surprised its published from that place.

Anshul saxena is a well known bhakth known for peddling fake news. If its true, i request him to make a team of bhakths and go to Syria to fight against ISIS. However, if true the act is condemnable. Anyway, the motive if isis has nothing to do with Islam. They are a bunch of ganglords on a killing spree
