Udupi, Nov 22: On the occasion of Children’s’ day, Trinity Central School, through on a virtual platform, the occasion of Children’s’ was celebrated with joyous grandeur. The programme commenced with the invocation of God’s blessings with the rendition of the hymn ‘ You are my refuge’. In her message Jayanthi, head teacher expressed her views on the importance of Children’s’ Day citing that the day is not only for all to remember it as the birthday of India’s prolific statesman, but it is a day where we celebrate the innocence of our young minds, and nurture these blossoming buds with care and love.

‘Happy HappyChildren’s Day to you’, with joyful hearts we sing and dance for you.’ Indeed - as words echoed across the portals as teachers extended their loving wishes for all students. Following this, a meaningful tableau depicting the perils of child abuse and how one can prevent and keep safe from such evils was highlighted. The event was further enhanced with the presence of Preethi Harishraj, Assistant Professor who enlightened everything about child rights.

Teachers danced their way to magical adventure accompanied by some of their favourite cartoon characters through a musical skitwhich had some all-time favourite songs like, ‘Barbie girl’, ‘Dora’, etc. Also, a new and popular word emerged from the adventure which was ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ - a term first coined in the classic movie ‘Mary Poppins’.

In his message to his loving students, principal Fr Anil D’Costa conveyed that children are like the blooming buds in a garden who spread the fragrance in our lives, when they are nurtured and taken care of well.

The programme ended with an eagle’s eye view of a campus filled with candylicious happy faces and cheerful voices that echoed from the heart of every teacher ‘ May the child in you always glow, and illuminate every life that you touch.’
