Asian Games: India Finish Fifth in 50m Rifle Prone


Guangzhou, Nov 15 (IANS) Indian shooters finished a disappointing fifth in the men's team event of the 50 metre rifle prone at the Asian Games here Monday.

The trio of Gagan Narang (587), Hariom Singh (590) and Surendra Singh Rathod (586) shot a total of 1763 here at the Aoti Shooting Range. None of the Indian shooters qualified for the final individual round.

The gold went to South Korea with a total of 1785 points while hosts China bagged the silver with 1774. Kazakhstan won the bronze with 1771 points.
