Writing in regional languages, empowering the writers and keeping the language alive, with the efforts of these types of associations said Konkani Sahitya Academy Award-winner Konkani playwright and director, founder of Konkani Theater Group, A veteran actor of comedy king fame Francis Fernades Cascia.

The Mangalorean Catholic Association Pune (MCA Pune) is a guest speaker at a get-together organized by the MCA at the Canara Coffee Trading Hall in Camp, Pune on Sunday.

Secretary Vijay Noronha Pamburu, Former Presidents Benjamin Mathias, Aloysius Saldhana (Luvy Urva), Cultural Secretary Sunita D’souza, MCA’s Newsletter `Mangalore In Touch’ Editor Judith Menezes & Associate Editor Eva D'Souza, Community Develop Coordinator Priscilla Brags, Sunitha Rodricks, Jenifer Menezes, John Carvalho, Marina Veigas and other present.

Luvy Urva prayed. Welcomed by Edna Rodriguez. Cultural Secretary Sunita D'Souza introduced the guests. Officials honored guests with bouquets. Organizer Priscilla Braggs proposed vote of thanks.
