Mangaluru, Nov 13: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) have warned of observing Kodikal city bandh on November 15, if the accused who desecrated the idol of deity at Nagabhramastana in Kodikal are not arrested by Sunday evening.

It is learnt that some unidentified miscreants had thrown the idol of deity on the ground at Nagabhramastana at Kodikal here. The incident came to light when a local went to perform prayer. The locals who gathered at spot held a protest on Saturday November 13.

Sharan Pumpwell of VHP, speaking to daijiworld.com said, "For the third time, an idol of deity (Naga) is desecrated. The first incident was reported in Panambur, later in Kulur and now in Nagabhramastana at Kodikal. It is clear that it is a planned strategy to desecrate Hindu worship centers. Today, we symbolically held a protest against this. The MLA and police commissioner visited the spot. We also said that if the miscreants are not arrested by Sunday evening, VHP and Bajrang Dal will observe Kodikal city bandh."

Puneeth Attavar, district convener of Bajrang Dal also confirmed the same.

Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty, local corporators, VHP, BD leaders Shivananda Mendon, Praveen Kuthar were present in the protest.

I'm not sure if it's an inside job or the job of those people who want to disturb peace. I won’t be surprised if it’s pre-planned desecration. In the past too SRS guys had hoisted Pakistani flag and pointed finger at others. Whoever has done it, it’s highly condemnable and the culprit(s) should be brought to book and given an exemplary punishment that would deter the other miscreants to do such heinous act. Meanwhile, it's very strange to note the warning from VHP/BD activists who are well known to destroy, damage and demolish others worshipping places, beat priests and worshippers and perform pooja in Churches. Our politicians too don't miss such occasions to add fuel to the fire. If they feel an iota of pain when their idols are damaged, did they ever think how painful for others when their worshipping places are damaged and the whole community is persecuted by them?

It not surprising that these kind of incidents happen before elections and two groups and one political party benefit’s from it. People with common sense will understand the game plan.

When people are frustrated, depressed without jobs , proper income and no security, the idle mind becomes devil's workshop. The end result is all these kind of untoward incidents to disturb peace in the society.

Jeevan, nobody wants to test your patience. If you want to test your patience yourself, go to Indo-Pak or Indo-China borders and see if your patience is sustainable. We know people like you are ghar mein sher, bahar billi.

Creator's creation is exists everywhere. You cannot harm place of worship by doing wrong things. Things turn fatal to those who done it..from invisible power. Somewhere people giving kiss to stone who do not avail any power. If wants to right to society please throw stone which kissed by all. Let than we argue and solve the matter easily. Praying to dead people is considered haraam in some community. Still people assemble in large numbers in such places.

Why insane people create unnecessary problems to the worship places? Instead of creating problems to the temples, its advisable to bang their heads on the concrete wall and die....nuisance. Cant live happily and not letting others to live peacefully....One side inflation...high rates for commodities....another side all such unwanted activities...
