Margao: Goa Shopping Stores Busy Packing Bags of Groceries For Netas

Margao, November 3: Say it to woo voters or gift of Deepavali, politicians of Goa have given big orders to shopping stores to pack the bags of groceries, to distribute to people. This includes 5 kg sugar, 5 kg jaggery, 5 kg rice and 2 coconuts approximately worth rupees Rs 1,000 each bag.

On a condition of anonymity official from one shopping store in Ponda, 19 kms from here, told Daijiworld that one minister in government have placed order of around 5,000 such bags. Already 3,500 bags
have reached the destination and rest are yet to be packed. This store had to employ additional workers to get the order done.

This is not the story of only store in Ponda, but rest in Goa are packed with the same situation.

Last Chaturthi most of ministers and MLAs in Goa had distributed the bags of groceries openly. Now the time has come for festival of lights, which would bring some smile on faces of people who accept it,
paving the way for politicians aim.
