Mangaluru: Unidentified vehicle rams into bike - Rider dies after falling from flyover

Mangaluru, Oct 27: A 47-year-old man died after suffering injuries falling from a flyover in Thokottu junction here on Wednesday October 27.

The deceased is identified as Subramanya Rao Sindiya, a resident of Saralaya Colony in Kumapla. He was also the former president of Kumpala Youth Marata.

It is gathered, the incident took place while Subrahmanya was returning from Mangaluru to Kumpala. An unidentified vehicle rammed into his bullet bike. As a result, Subrahmanya, who was riding the bike, lost balance and fell down from the flyover.

In the accident, Subrahmanya was severely injured. Though he was rushed to a hospital immediately, he died as he failed to respond to the treatment.

A case has been registered at Naguri traffic police station.

    Usafe roads filled with potholes and bloated concretes,when the government is charging soo much taxes on fuel,insurances,road tax,new vehicles etc,why can't they make sure safety standards are maintained on flyovers,highways by installing CCTVs,regular safety checks of roads etc,
