Mangaluru: St Agnes College alumna Niya Mathew clears September rounds of ACCA exam

Mangaluru, Oct 22: Niya Mathew cleared her (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) ACCA papers for which the exams were held in September 2021. She was a student of St Agnes College, where she pursued BCom integrated with ACCA. Her success also marks her off as the fourth alumna of the institution to become an ACCA affiliate.

ACCA is a globally recognized accounting qualification that provides a strong foundation to students and professionals for careers in Accounting, Tax Consulting, etc. According to ACCA Global, about 93,635 students around the world appeared for approximately 1,17,693 ACCA exams. Subsequently, 3,222 students completed their final exams to become ACCA affiliates whose results were announced recently.

Niya holds an ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and an affiliate membership from ACCA, UK. In pursuance of her aspirations, she has set an example for future aspirants by making complete use of her intellect and qualifications.

The ACCA affiliate said the management and faculty of St Agnes College have been extremely accommodating and prepared her for challenges. She credits her success to a positive mindset along with rigorous preparation. “Solving previous years' question papers gives a clear idea about the exams,” she said.

    ACCA is gaining popularity in India as it has international recognition. My daughter has completed her ACCA 3 years ago from a reputed institution in Mangalore. Currently she is in UK for her higher studies.
