Panaji, Oct 25: Veteran directors Amol Palekar and Ritupurno Ghosh’s films will be screened in the Indian Premiers section of International film festival of India, 2010.

The organizers said that Konkani filmmaker Rajendra Talak’s flick `O Maria’ is also figuring in the list of three movies, which was selected from 8 entries.

Palekar’s Marathi movie Dhoosar will be premiered in the IFFI along with Ghosh’s Nauka Dubi, a Bengali movie which has bollywood actress Riya Sen acting in it.

Six-member-jury headed by Malayalam filmmaker Shamaprasad has selected three films after watching all the movies in the screening facility at Macquiniz Palace.

Palekar’s Dhoosar is shot in Goa and is featuring Smita Tambe in the ead role. Marathi’s veteran actors including Reema Lagoo, Upendra Limaye, Jyoti Subhash and Amruta KHanvilakar are also acting in the
movie.

Ghosh’s Nauka Dubi, is a film on wife swapping and originally based on novel by Rabindranath Tagore. Sen sisters – Raima Sen and Riya Sen have played role of wives in this movie.

And for Goa’s own filmmaker, Rajendra Talak, the selection has helped him keep up the record of premiering his movies alternate years in IFFI.

The national award winning filmmaker had his movie Alisha premiered in 2004, Antarnad in 2006 and Sawariya.com in 2008.

O Maria is entirely shot in Goa and has internationally acclaimed musician of Goan origin Remo Fernandes composing title song for it.
