Aryan, others accused sent to Arthur Road, Byculla jails

Mumbai, Oct 8 (IANS): A day after they were sent to judicial custody, Aryan Khan, son of megastar Shah Rukh Khan, and seven co-accused in the rave party raids, were sent to the Arthur Road Central Jail, here on Friday afternoon.

The two women accused - Munmun Dhamecha and Nupur Sarika - were sent to the Byculla Women's Jail, and the others - Arbaaz Merchant, Vikrant Chhoker, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, and Gomit Chopra were sent to the ARCJ, along with Aryan Khan.

Since their arrest on October 3 - a day after their detention following the rave party raid aboard the Cordelia Cruise ship - they were kept for six nights in the NCB lockup in the central agency's custody, in south Mumbai till they were sent to judicial custody on Thursday by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R. M. Nerlikar.

They will remain in the respective jails till they are granted bail, even as their lawyers and the Narcotics Control Bureau advocates were engaged in a fierce legal battle over this.

This morning, all the eight accused youngsters underwent a medical test at the Sir J.J. Hospital, before they were taken to the jails by the NCB under tight security.

    The two thugs belonging to BJP are the ones who went and caught these group who has nothing to do with Narcotics apprehended in Gujarat. I will not be surprised of planting the narcotics in their room by these duo. Incidentally, both these duo were meeting, Modi, Shah, Gujarat CM, Fadnavi and many other BJP Feku's right till the previous day of this arrest. NCB has declared that both these duo are not NCB staff but supposed to be private investigators! So, can NCB come out clean and tell who gave them the power to arrest these group if they did not give the permission? Total miss use of power by the notorious ruling gang. Our public are still blind, to the way this gang is ruling India and taking it back to 14th century!

    hypocrisy clearly evident in the way people are treated in this country...at mundra airport RS 21000 crore worth drugs are found and no action..just eye wash..here just because Aryan is Shah Rukh Khan's son and Shah Rukh Khan does not endorse administration of chaiwala openly, he is harassed..

    BJP is hell bent on destroying future generation for its greed for money and power. BJP is selectively framing fabricated charges on its opponents to arm twist them and bring them under control. Last weak NCB said there is no evidence to prove Aryan had drugs. So why he is sent to Arthur jail????…….BJP is making sure this concocted smear campaign reaches to furthest corner of the country. Misuse of power by BJP. BJP’s friends who posses drugs caught red handed are scot free with clean chit.

    What happened to the Lakhimpur minister's son who killed farmers? And what happened to the news of more than 3000 crores heroin acquired from the #AdaniPort? Wonder if Aryan Khan is only the scapegoat to cover those other two incidents.

    Still not understand people who indulge in drugs are good connection with Nehru-Gandhi family either Nargis's son, Firoz Khan's son or Sharuk's son. Beta humhara bada naam karega. Even gori mem's son even holed-up in Boston Airport along with daughter of Colombian Drug Lord. Good sanskar indeed.

    How and who provide drugs to Aryan and his accomplishes in jail. People who accustom to drugs cannot able to live without it. Let Abbajaan arrange drugs by bribing jail authorities. After all Rs.8000 crores which he holding kis kaam ka. By the way even Ajmal Kasab also holed-up in Arthur Road itself. Hope Aryan will get good sleep at night without any disturbances from Kasab.

    Merchant's lawyer Taraq K. Sayed pointed out that the NCB remand application was absolutely silent on the quantity of drugs recovered from each accused. It is being said that the luxury ship, the Cordelia Cruise, which was raided by the sleuths of the NCB when it was preparing to lift anchor for a fun-filled two-night gala voyage to Goa, had around 1,300 affluent passengers on board. Were only 8 of these 1300 people consuming or carrying drugs with them? Is NCB going to question the remaining voyagers? It has also come to the fore that soon after the drug bust, the men from drug agency left and the cruise sailed off with the remaining guests. However, there is still no official word on this. If Drugs were found on the vessel, how come the vessel was allowed to sail with the other guests and why was the ship not siezed searched throughly.
