Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates 'World Heart Day'

Mangaluru, Sep 29: Carmel School celebrated world Heart Day in a unique way. It began with a prayer service followed by a prayer dance. The significance of the day was given by Jahnavi, in which the importance to take care of one’s heart as well as of others was signified also the need for maintaining a healthy diet for a healthy living.

The staff highlighted the theme with a song 'Chintha Na Karo'- to keep away from stress and strain for a healthy heart. The resource person Dr Jostol Pinto, MBBS, MD (Med), DM (Cardio), DNB(Cardio), MNAMS, Fr Muller Hospital, enlightened the staff and students with the nuggets of a healthy heart and a healthy living.

He also emphasized on the healthy diet for a healthy heart and showed some physical activities to keep the heart active. Prior to the world heart day celebration, our students were given activities such as a healthy heal and healthy walk or exercise for a vibrant heart.

Shwetha compered the programme and Rashmitha proposed the vote of thanks.

Sr Sarika, the principal, Sr Rose Agnes, the administrator, were present for the occasion.
