DK reports 108 corona cases, Udupi adds 69 infections; 4 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 24: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, September 24 reported 108 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 1.09%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 18,08,279 samples have been tested so far, out of which 16,94,551 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,13,728 out of which 1,066 are currently active.

As many as 119 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 111016.

The death in the district on Friday is 3. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,646.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,06,56,070 in fines for 87,633 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,14,711 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 69 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 76,045 out of which 406 are currently active.

A total of 112 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 75,167 for the second wave.
