Thousands of Devotees Attend Navaratri Utsav

The Navratri Utsav conducted under the aegis of GSB Seva Sabha, Dahisar – Borivali ®, was held at Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre grounds, Dahisar (East) on Wednesday October 13. 

Thousands of devotees participated in the Navaratri Utsav and other religious celebrations graced by Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt.
 
Navaratri Utsav has been organized under the leadership of S Manohar V Kamath for the past three years. The  various incarnations  of the  Goddess are worshiped throughout the nine days to mark the Dasara Festival.


 
Vedamurti Laxminarayan Bhat, Ullas Bhat, Manjunath Puranik, and Vinay Bhat performed various Vedic rites under the guidance of chief priest Panemangalore Ekanath Bhat.
 
Local MLA and donor Gopal C Shetty and other political leaders offered special puja to the Goddesses Navadurga during the nine days of the  Navaratri Utsav.
 
Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre promoter M V Kini, deputy conveners G D Rao and Suguna K Kamath, president K R Mallya, honorary chief secretary M U Padiyar, honorary treasurer Mohan A Kamath, joint secretary S Manohar V Kamath, and other office-bearers and thousands of devotees attended the event.
 
A devotional music programme was staged by Ganesh Yermal and group on Wednesday evening, sponsored by Sujatha A Shetty.
