On the basis of a complaint filed by the first wife of the said village accountant, the deputy commissioner has served a notice to the tahsildar.

C G Geetha, tahsildar of Narasimharajapura taluk in the district, had married village accountant, D T Srinidhi, through registered marriage. But both the groom and the bride are already married. The village accountant has not yet obtained divorce from his wife. The tahsildar, when filling the application for registered marriage, reportedly claimed herself to be unmarried.

The two had married through registered marriage recently. After Srinidhi's wife, T R Leela complained about this illegal marriage, deputy commissioner, K N Ramesh, served the said notice. Now the marriage as well as the jobs of the groom and the bride are at stake.
